Steph Surrey is 39 and a primary school teacher. She lives downstairs from her sister Nancy Clarke. Steph enjoys going to the cinema and card making. She volunteers at the Kidz club two nights a week

Nancy Clarke
Nancy Clarke is 46. She had breast cancer 5 years ago and when her hair grew back after chemotherapy it was grey. Apart from this she is very fit and works in the florist. Nancy’s husband left her during her treatment as he could not cope with the stress. Her son works in London and visits her monthly. Nancy’s sister Steph moved in with Nancy to 14 Doolittle Crescent 4 years ago when they turned the house into 2 flats. Steph occupies the ground floor whilst Nancy lives on the first floor. This arrangement suits them both.
Jed Potts
Jed moved to Cariton when he won the lottery as he did not want people to know his success. He spends a lot of his time playing on line games and drinking energy drinks to keep him awake at night. During the day Jed tends to sleep or play his electric guitar. He is not very sociable and most people ignore him when they pass him in the street or think he is scary. He lives at 6 Doolittle cresent.
Billy Green
Billy Green is 76 and lives at 25 Doolittle Crescent. He has recently had a stroke which has paralysed his right hand side. Billy is having 24 hour emergency care by the homecare team but is considering moving into Cariton care as a long term solution for his physical care needs and because he feels isolated in his house. He enjoys going to the coffee shop but only some of the taxis can accomodate his chair
Nora Gilbody
Nora is ChristineThomasson’s grandmother. She is 83 and was a nurse before she married and had her family. Nora has a vascular dementia diagnosis and lives in Cariton care dementia unit.
Morag Mcginty
Morag Mcginty is 89 and lives alone in 4 Doolittle Crescent. She suffers from agrophobia and smokes 30 cigarettes a day. Morag spends most of her time shopoing on line and selling things she has bought on ebay. Her neice works in the post office and collects her parcels every other day.
Jacob Olo
Jacob Olo is 13 and goes to Cariton Community school where he plays steel drums in the community band. He enjoys performing at the spiritual centre every Sunday morning.
Charity Olo
Charity Olo is 36 and is married to Abraham and mother to Isaac and Jacob. She runs the Cariton gospel choir and community band and is a qualified music therapist and instrumental teacher. She works at Cariton Care and one day a week at Caritoncommunity school
Abraham Olo
Abraham Olo is 39 and works in the coffee shop. He is married to Charity and has two sons, Jacob and Isaac. The Olos moved to Cariton from London as they wanted the boys to have a childhood out of the city suburbs
