A group of our pupils ranging from S2 to S6 made a visit to the site of the new Kilmarnock Academy just before the Easter break. As part of the schools Design Engineer Construct project, the pupils were invited to the site where they could speak to a wide range of professionals who are involved with the build. Pupils were also given a guided tour around the new school and were amazed at how far through the build the school is. The pupils were a credit to the school and showed enthusiasm and excitement towards the project. Roll on April 2018!!!
Pupils from both Kilmarnock Academy and James Hamilton Academy met up with some pupils from New Farm Primary and Silverwood Primary to aid with the design of many interior spaces in their future campus.
The pupils worked with professionals involved in the design and construction of our new school campus and came up with a range of creative ideas for the team to take forward.
We look forward to seeing how our ideas come to fruition in the coming months!
