We watched exciting videos of dancing Chinese Dragons and listened to some tranquil Chinese music. In cookery we made our version of fruit sushi (we know that is Japanese \u2013 but oh well!!)<\/p>\n<p>Links below to some stories about Chinese New Year.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=GVPHdFX9iHY\">Chinese New Year<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=EZM5I-g4Kng\">Chinese New Year 2<\/a><\/p>\n<p>In <strong>Literacy<\/strong> we have been working on the <strong>Letter J<\/strong>, and made some colourful Jellyfish pictures for our alphabet books, and searched for words beginning with that letter \u2013 how many J words can you find at home?<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=6KXX6fCKWes\">The J Song<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>SQA Communication<\/strong> we continued with Inside Out and focused on the emotion Anger this week.<\/p>\n<p>We have been rounding up our <strong>Scottish Theme<\/strong> \u2018Hamish McHaggis and the Edinburgh Adventure\u2019 and looked at the last character \u2026\u2026the Pine Martin.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.gloucestershirewildlifetrust.co.uk\/gloswildlifecams\">Pine Marten\u2019s Webcam<\/a><\/p>\n<p>We read the story for the last time, laughed at some funny Scottish words, watched some Highland dancing and listened to some traditional Scottish Music \u2013 we like the bagpipes in the Pine Room.<\/p>\n<p>Today we did some <strong>Winter Art<\/strong> and then watched the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics, the colours and the music were fantastic!!!<\/p>\n<p>Sorry we have no photos this week BUT Wilson has been posting too many and we have run out of space!!!!!\u00a0 But our IT Superhero Mr Campbell will be coming to our rescue!!<\/p>\n<p>Have a lovely weekend everyone<\/p>\n<p>x<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This week in the Pine Room we have been celebrating Chinese New Year.\u00a0\u00a0We painted fans, decorating them with Tigers, and made Dragons with long colourful tissue paper tails.
