Week in the Beech Class"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We have had a very busy week in the Beech class!\u00a0 We are enjoying our current \u2018Alice in Wonderland\u2019 topic and have done lots of activities connected to our topic.\u00a0 Here are some of the things we have done this week:<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2084\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/ea\/public\/wbank18beech\/uploads\/sites\/8695\/2021\/09\/10112428\/IMG_0129-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\"> <img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2085\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/ea\/public\/wbank18beech\/uploads\/sites\/8695\/2021\/09\/10112432\/IMG_0131-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\"> We made the Cheshire Cat from a paper plate and the card characters out of tissue paper.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2086\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/ea\/public\/wbank18beech\/uploads\/sites\/8695\/2021\/09\/10112435\/IMG_0132-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\">\u00a0 We used different measuring equipment to measure the different real life sizes of the main characters of \u2018Alice in Wonderland\u2019.\u00a0 We then ordered the different characters according to size.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-2087 size-medium\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/ea\/public\/wbank18beech\/uploads\/sites\/8695\/2021\/09\/10112438\/IMG_0133-e1631273120211-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\"> We did some rhyming activities during literacy and even made our very own Cheshire Cat poem!\u00a0 We were very successful learners as we learned how to identify a rhyming word and check that our poem makes sense.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2088\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/ea\/public\/wbank18beech\/uploads\/sites\/8695\/2021\/09\/10112441\/IMG_0134-300x225.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"225\">\u00a0 We had a lovely tea party on Friday morning with Scones that Tyler, Emma and Hugh made on Thursday during our life skills cookery session.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-medium wp-image-2089\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/ea\/public\/wbank18beech\/uploads\/sites\/8695\/2021\/09\/10112445\/IMG_0135-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\"> Emma and Amber have really enjoyed recreating the magical door from \u2018Alice in Wonderland\u2019, we plan to use this during creative writing activities.<\/p>\n<p>Our favourite activity this week has been
