We are missing you all lots and hope that you’re doing well.<\/p>\n

Below are this weeks home learning activities. Remember, all activities are optional.<\/p>\n

Literacy<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Phonics<\/em><\/p>\n

This term, we have been learning all the sounds in phase 2 of the Jolly Phonics programme.<\/p>\n

Listen to each of the sounds and practice saying each sound if you can.<\/p>\n

Can you find an object in your house that starts with each of the sounds below?<\/p>\n

Reading<\/em><\/p>\n

Access your ‘Giglets’ account (log in sent via email) and read through your new book. You may have been assigned some questions about the book too- these will be available in your ‘task’ section.<\/p>\n

Numeracy<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Ten Pin Bowling Addition<\/p>\n

Save ten plastic bottles from your recycling and write a number from 1-10 on each.<\/p>\n

Roll a ball to knock over the pins. Can you add the numbers on the fallen pins together?<\/p>\n

If you knock over lots of pins, count how many you managed to knock down.<\/p>\n

Health and Wellbeing<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n

Explore different parts of your body.<\/p>\n

Listen to ‘heads, shoulders, knees and toes’.<\/p>\n

Can you point to the correct part of your body as you listen?<\/p>\n

Chinese New Year<\/strong><\/em><\/h4>\n

On Friday, lots of people around the world will be celebrating Chinese New Year.<\/p>\n

Join in the celebrations by creating your own dragon puppet using paper chains. Link the paper together then add a face.<\/p>\n

You could make your dragon look even more special by adding glitter, sequins or fancy patterns.<\/p>\n
