I am sure many of you have &ndash; and some of you might even have this book at home.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Literacy<\/strong><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/12.0.0-1\/72x72\/1f4da.png\" alt=\"&#128218;\"><\/p>\n<p>The first link below is the story being read &ndash; there are many versions of this on the internet. Below is a link from the Scottish Wildlife Trust on making your own snail trails in your garden.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/ea\/public\/wbankpine\/uploads\/sites\/8697\/2021\/02\/01123415\/download-scottish-wildlife.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"211\" height=\"91\"><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/scottishwildlifetrust.org.uk\/resource\/make-your-own-snail-trail\/\"><strong>Making Snail Trails<\/strong> <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/12.0.0-1\/72x72\/1f40c.png\" alt=\"&#128012;\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Practice making Snail curls, what you need is:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A zip lock bag<\/li>\n<li>Cheap Hair Gel<\/li>\n<li>Food Colouring<\/li>\n<li>Glitter (optional &ndash; but the Pinettes like their Glitter!)<\/li>\n<li>Sellotape<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/tse1.mm.bing.net\/th\/id\/OIP.FynJxqhTU5IG8i3qzjnqwQHaE8?w=302&amp;h=201&amp;c=7&amp;o=5&amp;pid=1.7\" alt=\"Image result for hair gel bags for writing\"><\/p>\n<p>You will need to judge the amount of hair gel you need &ndash; depending on the size of bag you have &ndash; there should be about a half a centimetre thickness when you flattened the bag out. Add a couple of drops of food colouring and glitter if you want and massage around till the colour is even. Zip shut the bag &ndash; make sure the outside of the bag is dry and then add a length of sellotape&nbsp; &ndash; just to make sure it is secure.<\/p>\n<p>You can practice drawing your snail curls on the bag or other letters or numbers!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Numeracy<\/strong> <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/12.0.0-1\/72x72\/1f522.png\" alt=\"&#128290;\"> <strong>Art <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/12.0.0-1\/72x72\/1f3a8.png\" alt=\"&#127912;\"> Eco <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/12.0.0-1\/72x72\/267b.png\" alt=\"&#9851;\"><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>It is a bit early to be counting snails in our gardens &ndash; but we will remember to do that when they start to appear!!&nbsp; I am going to email you all out a snail counting activity for you to do at home.&nbsp; But you could recycle a egg box and make some snails and then count how many you have made &ndash; I reckon you will all want to make more than one!!!
