And my neighbours made the cutest Snowman, about 6cm high and&nbsp; sitting on their wall. Have any of you spotted anything exciting when you have been out?<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/ea\/public\/wbankpine\/uploads\/sites\/8697\/2021\/01\/25105746\/surf-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"140\" height=\"187\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/ea\/public\/wbankpine\/uploads\/sites\/8697\/2021\/01\/25105815\/snow-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"140\" height=\"187\"><\/p>\n<p>In <strong>Scotland&nbsp;<\/strong>we have loads of words to describe the weather, and we like to talk about the weather a lot! Do you know what these weather words mean &ndash; Dreich, Drookit, Smirr, Lashing and Haar?? Do you know any others?<\/p>\n<p><strong>Numeracy <img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/12.0.0-1\/72x72\/1f522.png\" alt=\"&#128290;\">&nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Now the Scottish weather is going to continue to be mixed for this week and into the next, so there are two suggestions for <strong>Numeracy<\/strong> this week.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/12.0.0-1\/72x72\/1f31e.png\" alt=\"&#127774;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/12.0.0-1\/72x72\/26c5.png\" alt=\"&#9925;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/12.0.0-1\/72x72\/1f308.png\" alt=\"&#127752;\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/12.0.0-1\/72x72\/2614.png\" alt=\"&#9748;\"><\/p>\n<p>Firstly make a weather chart (or we will email you one out) and record what the weather is like and adding up after 7 days, how many days have been rainy, snowy, windy &hellip;.or sunny!<\/p>\n<p>Secondly, counting games in class we really do enjoy Dominoes, Snakes and Ladders and also Bingo &ndash; keep counting as you go &ndash; remember no cheating!!<\/p>\n<p><strong>Literacy<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/s.w.org\/images\/core\/emoji\/12.0.0-1\/72x72\/1f4da.png\" alt=\"&#128218;\"><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The books we are going to recommend this week are &ndash;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=rBuMyVCvgMI\"><strong>There was a wee Lassie who swallowed a Midgie<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/tse3.mm.bing.net\/th\/id\/OIP.8n_YMBbqSqX9UWFeLS4EIwHaGb?w=195&amp;h=180&amp;c=7&amp;o=5&amp;pid=1.7\" alt=\"Image result for there was a wee lassie who swallowed a midgie\"><\/p>\n<p>Now this story is being read by the Heart and Mind Clowns and the Pine Class loved the Clowns.<\/p>\n<p>Which animal was your favourite?<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=hq8zxYnWRW8&amp;t=6s\">The Glasgow Gruffalo<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/ea\/public\/wbankpine\/uploads\/sites\/8697\/2021\/01\/25114612\/Glasgow-300x162.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"162\"><\/p>\n<p>Read by Elaine C.
