{"id":2414,"date":"2020-01-21T09:23:00","date_gmt":"2020-01-21T09:23:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/ea\/willowbankschoolkilmarnock\/2020\/01\/21\/faol-transition-crm-rose\/"},"modified":"2020-03-04T12:43:55","modified_gmt":"2020-03-04T12:43:55","slug":"faol-transition-crm-rose","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/ea\/willowbankschoolkilmarnock\/2020\/01\/21\/faol-transition-crm-rose\/","title":{"rendered":"FAOL \u2013 Transition CRM  Sensory Rose"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/ea\/public\/wbankspecialist\/uploads\/sites\/13696\/2020\/01\/21092253\/DSC09306-e1579598579737-225x300.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"225\" height=\"300\"><\/p>\n<p>The boys in the Transition class have been learning about the work of <span><span><b>Charles Rennie Mackintosh<\/b> (7 June 1868 &ndash; 10 December 1928).<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span><span>He was a <strong>Scottish<\/strong> <strong>architect, designer, watercolourist <\/strong>and <strong>sculptor<\/strong> and extremely influential within the&nbsp; <\/span><\/span><span><span><strong>Arts and Crafts<\/strong> movement and <\/span><\/span><span><span><strong>Art Nouveau<\/strong> in the United Kingdom. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p>We discussed his famous works and buildings and also the tragic fires which destroyed part of the <strong>Glasgow School of Art<\/strong> building where Mrs Macdonald studied.<\/p>\n<p>I&rsquo;m sure you will agree that these beautiful Mackintosh inspired roses are fabulous! Lots of different<strong> sensory textures<\/strong> were used.
