This is our main method of communication and all messages will be sent via this platform first.<\/p>\n

Group texts<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

Group texts are sent out to parents to advise of an emergency. Parents should provide the Head of Establishment or school office with an up-to-date mobile phone number to enable automatic contact via text messaging.<\/p>\n

Website and social media<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

In the event of an emergency, the Council\u2019s communications team work quickly to update our website,\u00a0Facebook<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Twitter<\/strong><\/a> with the latest developments and advice on what to do.<\/p>\n

Radio<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n

The communications team also work closely with\u00a0Greatest Hits Radio<\/strong><\/a> (formerly West Sound) and Clyde 1 Ayrshire<\/strong><\/a> (formerly West FM) with statements and updates issued frequently.<\/p>\n

We understand an emergency can be a very stressful time and phone lines are often used by emergency services, so it\u2019s important that we try and keep lines clear.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n
