2024 – 2025 School session is due to start on Wednesday 21st August 2024.
You should bring your child to school for 9.30am on their first day and you should bring him/her directly to the classroom. As soon as your child settles you should leave. It is unusual for children to be upset by this – it is more likely to be the parent who is upset! However, you should explain beforehand that you will return to collect her/him later. Although you may be experiencing mixed emotions about leaving your child in school, particularly if this is your first child, it is better if you can put up a confident, positive front.
You should return to collect your child at 2.30pm from the same door you entered.
For the first three days (Weds., Thurs. & Fri.) they will attend 9.30 – 2.30pm to give them a staggered entry and exit time from the rest of the school.
From (Monday 26thth August) then on in, your child will attend from 8.55am to 3pm.
Lunchtime is at 12.45pm to 1.30pm.
On your child’s first day we will give you an opportunity to take plenty of photographs in the playground and in the classroom as a record of their first day for years to come.
