Today we have been exploring our pumpkin plants and have discovered that we have lots of pumpkins growing. The children described them as “baby pumpkin”, “mummy pumpkin”, “big”, “little” and “tiny.” We also counted how many we had.
“1, 2, 3, 4, 5!” – B
“Four, five!” – A
We also picked some carrots by pulling them by their green tails.
Once inside the playroom, we washed the carrots and categorised them by “big” and “small”.
This morning some of our pre-school children went on the minibus to Eglington Country Park!
We got to walk through all the trees, look at the flowers and the plants and then we found the castle, where we were rolling down the hill, climbing and exploring.
We then went on a walk to the playpark where we had a small snack and then spent lots of time on the swings, trampoline, slides and the zip slide. The boys and girls even saw a cat and then we said hello to some horses which we found out were called Tilly and Charlie.
Well done to everyone who handed a bonnet in today, there is still plenty of time to get involved in our Easter Bonnet home link, bonnets to be in by Wednesday
All children who take part will receive a small prize 🐥😁
