Auchinleck and Cumnock Academies are unable to take part in the workshops and activities this year as they are working towards their merger into the new Robert Burns Academy, opening in August 2020.  They have been included in the overall project and will receive a share of the resources and staff training to allow pupils at the new school to work on future creative ventures.

Auchinleck Academy’s Librarian, Miss McGill, invited pupils at the school to send in suggestions of Manga, graphic novels and comics they thought should be included in the Library collection. SLIF funding was used to buy in a selection of titles from the pupils’ wish list (pictured below) which are now on the shelves for their enjoyment and inspiration. Later in the year they will become part of the new Library collection at the Robert Burns Academy.
