Primary 1 have had a busy week with lots of great learning! The pupils have been working hard across the curriculum and have put some of their great work in their snapshot jotters and are excited to share it with you at home. We have also included photographs of us in PE doing yoga and improving our football skills. As part of our IDL topic ‘Spring’ we visited the Knowe garden to investigate the changes that happen at this time of year.

Mrs Bradley visits P1
Over the next couple of weeks, Mrs Bradley will be visiting all classes. This afternoon it was the turn of P1.
What amazing mathematicians we have in P1! The learning and teaching were focused on addition.
All learners were engaged and enthusiastic about what they were learning. Some learners can record their work to show a written calculation! Awesome P1!
Mrs Bradley particularly enjoyed ‘Double Trouble’. Doubling is one of her favourite things about numeracy.
Numicon was used to show all the different ways to make ‘Total Tens’. Well done to Etta who spotted a pattern in her work and showed it to Mrs Bradley!
‘Look, the numbers go up on this side and down on this side’
Festive Friday
The children were all very excited today with it being the 1st of December! After meeting our class elf and opening our Advent calendars we changed our class altar in preparation of this happy time ahead. Well done P1!
Work out Wednesday!
In gymnastics we are focussing on movement and balance, as well as building our strength and stamina!
Tuesday’s Literacy
After being introduced to the phoneme ‘o’, P1 have been learning to form the letter and make new words. Look out for their awesome ‘orange octopuses’!
Monday’s Digital Learning
On a Monday P1 visit the Digital Learning suite where P5/6 help them to use a variety of technology that assists with their learning.
