E.C.C. registration

Nursery Registration for all 3 and 4 Year olds begins Friday 19th February and can be completed up until Friday 12th March at the latest.
  • Please note  children returning next year should register for a place at the ECC if wishing a change of model or Centre.
  • Saint Andrew’s ECC will be term time 9.15-3.15. This can be split with a childminder or another ELC establishment (blended) . Therefore we will be Model 1 and Model 3 for 3 and 4 year olds.
  • I have attached the East Ayrshire Council admissions policy for you all to read which will hopefully answer some questions. Please read the Early Years Admissions policy attached which outlines the hours available and further information before you complete the registration form online.

How to apply:

Applications are now online on the East Ayrshire Council Website:

  • You will be required to attach a copy of your child’s birth certificate and proof of address to the online application at the time of registration.
  • Should you require a copy of your child’s birth certificate for registration, this can be obtained at Certificates.scot.
  • It is important that you make application by Friday, March 12, 2021 as the process to allocate places for the forthcoming academic year begins on March 15.
  • You should also identify your second choice of centre and preferred pattern of attendance on the application form as there may be occasions when you cannot access a place in your first choice of centre. Applications which do not indicate a second choice may not be considered.
  • If you wish to apply for a split session place you will need to make application for each centre.
  • Applications received after Friday, March 12, 2021 will be allocated in a second phase before the start of the new term in August 2021.
  • When completing the application, parents and carers should inform the centre head/manager of any issues which may affect their child, for example, toileting, any special dietary requirements or medical issues. This is to enable appropriate planning to take place and will not affect their child’s access to a place
  • Please note you will be required to upload a copy of your child’s birth certificate to complete the application.
  • There is a link below that allows you to carry out the application online via the East Ayrshire Council website. The link below should take you to the form to fill out.

Thanks to everyone for all the pictures you have been sending in of all the hard work the children have been doing.  We have loved seeing the videos and photos.

Remember that Monday is a holiday and Tuesday and Wednesday are in-service days so children will be off on those days (no home activities).

Remember to send any pictures to me at:

Home Activities

There have been some fantastic examples of writing from the children this week – well done!

The weather has been horrible this week, it has been cold and damp, let’s hope next week is better.

Have fun with the activities for next week and remember to send me your pictures.

Online Learning Jan 5 Pattern (1)

If you are going to Saint Andrew’s Primary in August have a look at our transition section of the website.

A few photos of Lyle from this week. His favourite is definitely playing in the huge cardboard box!

Some of Reece’s pictures he made with his pack from ECC.

Gabriel spent today making a Chinese lantern and dragon 🙂

Today we practiced on big sheets of paper then put our best efforts all together. Practicing some patterns of animals. The pictures of the animals we used for the patterns are included. Rheuben loved this idea❤

I think mummy had more fun than Rheuben doing our potato prints this morning 😂

Lyle had another week of keeping busy.
His highlight was making a rainbow fairy door for the missing No 6 at Dean Park.
Rheuben was a great helper making shortbread today. He said they taste delicious 😋

Home Activities week beginning 1st February

Wow – I can’t believe next week is February already.  Thank you to all the families who have been sending in photos and videos.  Some work has still to go on the blog as I have been having some technical issues this week – but it should be resolved on Tuesday.

Have fun with your writing and letters this week and remember to send me some photos.

Online Learning Jan 4 Letters and Sounds

Reece tried his letters with his sister.

rbt

As its wet outside today we decided to do some play doh letters after breakfast. Rheuben managed to tell me what the letters were and trying to copy them too 😊

Lara has been very busy!

Here is Lara learning to draw her letters at her grandads this morning. We have found the Masha and the Bear app is fantastic for helping them learn to draw letters and pictures associated  especially when she has had enough of the learning book.
