What fun we all had for Red Nose Day 2021. We dressed as superheroes 🦸♀️ told jokes 🤣, danced 💃 , designed red noses, created masks and completed a Comic Relief quiz. Super fun had by all whilst raising awareness and money for a great cause.
We will be celebrating Red Nose Day on Friday 19th March. Check out the posters below for all of the fun activities that we will be getting up to. I can’t wait to see all of your costumes!
Dear Parent/Carer,
As part of our curriculum development, we are exploring the provision of literacy within Sorn Primary.
Parents/carers play an important role in their child’s school experience and in order for us to ensure that our delivery of not only high quality learning experiences in class for pupils is of excellent standard, it is also important for us to understand and support the needs parents/carers may have when supporting their child at home.
Your thoughts and opinions are very valuable to us and we appreciate you taking the time to complete this survey about reading. The survey has been split into three sections: your views on reading, your views on reading with your child and your views on the school’s reading provision.
The survey will take approximately 10minutes to complete.

Kind regards,
Laura Kelly

Well done for all of your hard work this week Primary 4/5 🙂 Hopefully next week will be our last week of online learning and we can all be together again very soon.
Well done for all of the work you posted for Fairtrade Fortnight and for taking part in today’s Teams assembly. It was great to see the whole school together.
Good luck if you are setting out to take part in the book trail this weekend! Can you find all of the teacher’s favourite books? Make sure to send in any pictures from your trail too.
Remember to send in your mascots for RRSA. We will be picking one next Friday at our RRSA meeting. Make sure your mascot has a name too. Below are some examples of mascots for those who are struggling! If you have already sent one in you can send in another if you want to 🙂
Tony Tiger for frosties cereal
Mickey Mouse for Disney
Mario for Nintendo
I hope you all have a fantastic weekend. I will speak to you all on Monday 🙂
As Fairtrade Fortnight draws to a close, we are going to meet as a full school for a Fairtrade assembly and quiz on Teams at 11.30am. I hope you have all enjoyed participating in the different activities for Fairtrade Fortnight and have a wider knowledge of what Fairtrade is all about. Bring any completed activities you wish to share with the other classes to today’s assembly. Make sure you have some paper and a pencil ready for the quiz! See you all then 🙂
As we come towards the end of Fairtrade Fortnight, I hope you all have a better understanding of what Fairtrade is and why it is so important. Today, you are going to make your own poster, promoting Fairtrade. Remember to include the Fairtrade logo within your poster. A poster should be:
