Children’s Mental Health Week- Lucy’s in Lockdown

As you all know this week is “Children’s Mental Health Week”. It is so important to look after your own mental health and wellbeing, especially during the current pandemic. We all miss our friends and family, but it won’t be long until we can reunite again, which will make it all that more special.

‘Lucy’s in lockdown’ is a story about a girl called Lucy, who is living through a lockdown – just like we are right now! However.. Lucy is a little different to us as her hair changes colour depending on how she is feeling! She has her daily struggles just like the rest of us, but she focuses on the positives and knows that is OK to feel down sometimes. Get yourself comfortable and have a listen to Miss Weir reading the story. I hope you enjoy it!

P4/5- Children’s Mental Health Week Day 3

Happy Wednesday everyone! For day 3 of children’s mental health week we are going to be embracing the ‘express yourself’ theme. There are SO many ways to express your feelings and emotions and one of those ways is by dancing!
Have a listen to the song below and dance along any way that comes to mind when you hear the song playing! Make sure and get someone to video you for your blog or email it to your teacher!🕺
If you don’t feel comfortable dancing have a listen to the song and make a colourful poster telling us how the song made you feel. On your poster have “I feel..” then whatever emotion you feel when you hear this song!😊
It is important that we can identify the link things that we do have to RRSA and Sustainable Development goals.
