We have been super busy this week in Primary 1-4 for Maths week!
Today we explored βmaths through storiesβ π
We read βThe Tiger who came to Teaβ and explored different numeracy concepts through activities in relation to the story. π
We looked at sorting and different ways we could sort the foods the Tiger ate into groups. One group sorted them by βhealthy and unhealthyβ while others looked at βfood, drink and othersβ. Amazing work everyone!! π₯ͺπ
We also explored measure and used different containers to measure which ones held more or less. π₯πΆ
We identified the food and drinks the tiger ate and drank in the story and put them in order.
We role played at the shop and worked out how to pay for different food and drink items using coins and notes. Β π₯¬πͺπ§πͺπ·
Lots of fantastic learning going on here. Super work Primary 1-4 ππ
P1234 headed outdoors yesterday to explore the concept of sorting objects into groups.
We decided to collect different types of leaves and discussed the ways in which we could sort them such as by size, colour and shape. In the end, we agreed to sort them by colour π΄π‘π’
