There has been lots of super learning this week in P1-4!
Group 3 and 4 have been exploring fractions through practical materials.
Group 1 and 2 have been practising their spelling by working more independently. Well done you guys! π€π
We had great fun on Thursday for our Victorian Day, so much so, Miss Weir forgot to take pictures! π

P1-4 Weekly Update π
We have been busy bees this week getting back into our learning after the holidays βοΈπ
In literacy, we practised our spelling through different games and activities like spelling splat, BOGGLE and partner spelling. π
We have just started our new topic in maths of βfractionsβ and Primary 1 were exploring how to half different objects. We know that 2 halves make 1 whole! Group 1 and 2 were also looking at making different patterns.

P1-4 – Weekly round up π
Oh what a busy week we have had!
From Dancefest on Tuesday, which we absolutely smashed! πππΌπΊ
To our sponsored 4 mile walk yesterday (and meeting Kerr and Aprilβs little baby lambs) πβ€οΈ They were just adorable!
Then researching the size of different dinosaurs to measure in the playground. We found the largest one was a brachiosaurus measuring at 26m long π±π¦ wow! We loved using our bodies to see how many people it would take to measure the same as it. 19 children!
We have loved being outdoors more and soaking up the sun – long may it continue. βοΈ

What have we been up to this week in P1-4?
We have been busy bees this week π There are so many fantastic things we have been getting up to so here is a little snapshot! πΈ
In numeracy, group 1 and 2 have been looking at money and exploring coins to Β£2. They have even started calculating amounts to pay for items! Well done guys π Group 3 and 4 have been exploring division and I have to say they are doing amazing at linking their multiplication knowledge! βοΈβ
In literacy we have been doing super spelling work. We have been working so hard during writing time with group 3 and 4 creating super fact files about different types of dinosaurs. While group 1 and 2 have been practising writing FANTASTIC sentences. Here are some pictures π
We have been loving our topic βDinosaursβ and this week, made our own model dinosaurs! They looked fab π€©
Group 3 and 4 have been busy carrying out some research for their dinosaur project. Super work everyone!

We have had a super busy week in P1-4 getting back into the swing of things!
Group 1 and 2 have been consolidating their knowledge of adding and subtracting within 10 and today, they learned how to write a sentence! Totally amazing work guys β€οΈ
Group 3 and 4 have been exploring the βrepeated additionβ strategy to help with their multiplication facts.
With Burns coming up soon, we have been learning all about Scotland and even weaved our very own tartan! π΄σ §σ ’σ ³σ £σ ΄σ Ώ

What a busy week we had last week here in P1-4!!
We loved hearing all about each otherβs favourite books for Book Week Scotland and P1/2/3 even got their own book bag to take home π
We had THE BEST DAY EVER on Friday for Children in need 2021 ππ»
We loved watching the duck race and had an amazing time at our teddy bears picnic in the woods with our lovely snacks (courtesy of the wonderful Mrs Mackay) β€οΈ
You all looked fantastic and should be so proud of the amazing amount of money we raised for charity πππ
Number stories!
Group 1 and 2 have been learning number stories this week. Today we looked at the story of β7β and the different numbers we can add together to make 7. β 7οΈβ£
