P1/2/3 have been working super hard during literacy time this week. We had some super reciprocal teaching, sentence building and bouncy blending Great work everyone!  

Primary 1 phoneme words – see, been, seen, three, green, sleep, keep, need, feel, deep.

Primary 1 common words – this, that, then, with, us, so.

Primary 2 phoneme words – paw, jaw, draw, straw, lawn, saw, claw, thaw.

Primary 3 phoneme words – hawk, prawn, crawl, yawn, awful, squawk.

Primary 2/3 Common words – three, again, these, people.

Fairtrade Bake-Off and Easter Fun Day

Our Fairtrade Committee have organised a Super Sorn Bake Off. Pupils have to create a bake using at least one Fairtrade ingredient and submit a photo of their entry to their class teacher for Monday 29th March and we are looking for the most creative design. Entries will be judged next week.

Our Easter Fun Day will take place on Thursday 1st April. Pupils can participate in activities including an Easter Bonnet Parade (bonnets to be made at home and brought in), Egg Hunt and also design their own Easter egg.

P1/2/3 have been learning all about the Mars Rover ‘Perseverance’ and took on a STEM challenge to create their own rover! Super teamwork and creativity during this challenge

This week’s spelling and phoneme words are as follows:

Primary 1 phoneme words – Phil, phone, phoneme, phonics, elephant.

Primary 1 common words – are, dad, not, she, come, from.

Primary 2 phoneme words – blue, glue, true, clue, Sue.

Primary 3 phoneme words – Tuesday, pursue, blue, glue, true.

P2/3 Common words – which, what, bring, long.

 

What fun we all had for Red Nose Day 2021. We dressed as superheroes told jokes , danced , designed red noses, created masks and completed a Comic Relief quiz. Super fun had by all whilst raising awareness and money for a great cause.

P1/2/3 took their learning outdoors today and what a beautiful day it was!

Primary 2 and 3 have been investigating and exploring arrays to solve multiplication calculations while Primary 1 have been looking at subtraction and number sentences.

Primary 1/2/3 have been working hard during numeracy time this week.

P1 have been revising subtraction where P2/3 have been exploring the 5 times table through array patterns and repeated addition.

We took our learning outdoors and created number lines for the 5 times table, counting in 2’s and up to 10.
