What a busy, fun filled week we have had!

We have learned about LOTS of different jobs from our amazing speakers such as a flying doctor, engineers, Labrador breeders, Kilmarnock FC, an artist, a veterinary surgeon and many more. 🤩

The children have learned lots about skills for life and work and even enjoyed participating in role play for different occupations. 👩‍⚕️👨‍🍳👩‍🏫👨‍🔬

A brilliant week of learning! ♥️

 

The children showcased their gymnastics sequences in PE, which they have been working super hard on!

The sequences included a range of different movements such as rolls, balances, jumps, partner balances and complex skills. They done absolutely amazing and worked so well with each other 😀

The children have been working hard on their PowerPoint presentations in ICT and this week some of them were ready to present to the rest of the class. Amazing work!

There was lots of role play happening this week through our money topic in maths. Paying for items and giving change in our shop area was their main focus. Brilliant work 🤩

Meredith has been working super hard on her spelling words. 🔤

As we come to the end of Technologies Week 1, take a look at what the children have been up to this week!

Firstly, they learned how to chop, slice and spread to make some lovely crackers with their toppings. 😋 Some of the children even tried some new foods!

Then, using the skills they had already learned, they designed, made and tasted their own healthy sandwiches. 🥬🍅🍞🥖

A very busy week in P1/2/3 this week with our school Easter Fayre on Thursday afternoon which was a brilliant success! 😁

The children worked so hard in organising all of the stalls and resources needed to make it all happen so a big well done to them!! 😍

Thank you to everyone who came along to support our wee school in the Cash for Kids challenge. We really appreciate it ❤️

We also started our gymnastics block in PE this week and the children got stuck right, in practising the skills for their sequences.  🤸‍♀️

Another busy week here in P123!

We walked a combined total of 132 miles yesterday on our Four Farms Walk 🤩 The children enjoyed a visit from Ciara and Michael from Cash For Kids and WEST FM and we even got our own special shout out this morning on the radio!! How amazing!! ❤️

 

 

This week we started our new Maths topic Fractions.

Some of us were looking at exploring halves and others were looking at fractions on a number line and simple equivalent fractions related to halves. Amazing work guys! 😀

We have been working hard in numeracy! Making 3D shapes, practising our multiplication and creating some tiling patterns 🟥🟡🔺

Some of the children went on a 3D shape hunt using QR codes with clues to help them figure out the correct shape.

We have enjoyed exploring being scientists over the last few weeks 🥼🧪🧫

Meredith has been working on creating simple sentences in literacy 📖

We are getting so much more confident with our ICT skills and have been creating our own PowerPoints! Very impressive 💻

Primary 1/2/3 have enjoyed exploring their Art Studio this week!

We have had some amazing painting, even a replica of the Mona Lisa! 🎨🖌️

We also had fun creating our own street art using Graffiti, inspired by Banksy! ❤️

We raised an amazing £174.90 for Children in Need today!! Absolutely fantastic 💛 The children enjoyed participating in different Pudsey activities throughout the day and well done to our prize winners!
