Pupil pupils attend social subjects two periods per week in S1. Pupils have one teacher throughout the year who takes them through a common course encompassing all three social subjects.

Our S1 course focuses on Scotland’s history, geography and democratic features.

S1 History – Scotland’s Past, focusing on The Scottish Wars of Independence.

S1 Geography – Scotland’s Geography, focusing on Map Skills.

S1 Modern Studies – Democracy, focusing on Rights & Responsibilities and a Mock Election.
