Welcome to Shortlees School and Community Choir Page!
In January, we visited our friends at Craigie Care Home again. Together, we explored a range of ‘Scottish Songs’ that our mammies and daddies sang to us. We came up with a set list of songs and gave the residents a song list so they could sing along with us on the day. We enjoyed seeing our friends again and they loved hearing our Scottish songs!
Our primary 1-3 community choir joined together with the senior choir to perform Christmas songs at the school fair, here they are practising before the big performance!
Our Senior Choir took part in the East Ayrshire 12 days of Christmas music video.
We attended Craige Care home before Christmas, we sent the residents our song list so they could take part and sing along with us! They loved our performance of ‘True Colours’ which sung with BSL! Fiona at the care home also created a Christmas music video! Watch it here:

We spent the day carol singing, here we are at the Burns Mall before our performance!
Here we are ready to perform at Marks and Spencers in Kilmarnock! We raised over £100 for our school!
We took part in a Sign and Sing event at The Ayrshire College! Here we are performing some of our songs using BSL! Shelly helped us with our sign language and we all enjoyed taking part in this experience.
