The Exchange – EASY READ_Secondary – YP<\/a><\/p>\n

The-Exchange is now providing counselling and emotional and psychological support in all secondary schools in East Ayrshire.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0The service provides a private space where you can talk about things which are troubling you. Talking things over with a professional can help you to find better ways to cope with difficulties.\u00a0\u00a0 Usually you would be referred to the counselling service by your guidance teacher.\u00a0 \u00a0 Guidance staff will always talk to you about this before making a referral and will encourage you to involve your parents too. Involvement of parents\/carers is always encouraged as part of the process but is not essential if you don’t want it to be.<\/p>\n

D-EXY<\/strong> <\/a>also offers, safe, moderated online community discussions, and access to counselling \u2013 so they have real people to talk to and helpful information they can work through in their own time.<\/p>\n
