Anderson Shelter STEM Challenge

Working in pairs, Primary 7 were set the task of building an Anderson Shelter out of junk materials. First they had to research five interesting facts about the shelters and were then given 1 hour and 30 minutes to complete the task.

The results were amazing. I was hugely impressed by their creativity and cooperation.

The end results were amazing, as you can see below! One very proud teacher.

LOST – Outdoor Learning

Primary 7 welcome Mrs Baird from the East Ayrshire LOST team. Despite our perseverance the rain was just too heavy and we had to take our outdoor learning indoors. The children made responsibility friendship bracelets, each strand representing a different responsibility; one to themselves, to others and to the wider world.

We then looked at how we could use out outdoor objects, such as sticks and rocks for a variety of different games.

Huge thank you to Mrs Baird, we can’t wait until your next visit.
