What a week it has been! We have had so much fun that at times we didn’t even realise we were working.
In P.E we started our large apparatus block of gymnastics. There were some fantastic skills on display and I look forward to seeing what next week brings.
We also enjoyed putting our measure skills to the test in our real world context maths challenge. Learners had to work out how much carpet would be required in each room in the house (area) and then use their knowledge of money to work out if the total cost was within the given budget. The extension task then allowed learners to purchase furniture for the house, again sticking to a budget and their given area. It was so much fun that they want to do it again!
On Friday we celebrated ‘Purple Friday’ as part of LGBT History month. We had a great discussion in class about the LGBT community and why we celebrate this event. Everyone looked fantastic in their multi-coloured clothes.
This week we saw some fantastic achievements. We won the Golden Carrot – well done to everyone who brought a healthy snack to contribute to our total.
Star of the week – Ona for consistently good effort and lovely manners.
Group of the week – Gucci cookies (Kodi, Charley, Dylan & Robbi)
HotChocFri attendee – Jacob who chose Robbi to accompany him.
Wishing you all a lovely weekend,
Mrs Brown
