In Primary 5\u00a0 we have started a novel study on Matilda. This week we continued reading the story and summarised one of\u00a0 the chapters in our own words. Following this we looked at the language in the book used to describe the character of Matilda to give us a better understanding of the character.<\/p>\n

In numeracy we are learning about place value, focusing on the value of digits between 1000 and 100,000. This week we used practical materials to support our learning creating our own numbers and identifying their value.<\/p>\n

In science we have started learning about forces, with a focus this week on friction. To explore this more we created ramps and used a variety of different materials to test. Comparing how well the different materials worked on the ramp and the friction created.<\/p>\n
