Last week…

It’s been a fun packed week with fire brigade visits and swimming, sports and water fights, ice cream and prizegiving.
All that’s left to say is have a fabulous summer, good luck to those moving on from here in their next adventure in life and we look forward to welcoming you back in August.

Knights and Castles 🏰

We enjoyed a visit to Dean Castle Country Park this week to learn about knights and castles. Our tour of the castle took us from the keep to the dungeon, the battlements to the courtyard (shh… we weren’t up on the roof.)

After our tour, we took part in some expressive art activities. We created our own medieval creatures and shields for each class. The shields featured something about each person in the group. Then we took part in some drama activities, discovering what it would be like to be a knight.

Sorn Castle Visit 🏰

Today we visited the amazingly beautiful Sorn Castle. We enjoyed exploring some of the rooms including the drawing room, the bedroom of the late owner and the dining room.
Mrs Connell’s favourite room was where they hold the weddings. She was keen to get a shot of the huge pipe organ.
We had a look around the grounds where we got to see how the electricity is generated by hydropower.
