Paper copies of the poems have been given to all pupils to learn at home and are also shown below.<\/p>\n<p>The Primary 4 poem is <strong>The Magic Pizza<\/strong> by Ali Christie which was chosen by the pupils.<\/p>\n<p><strong>THE MAGIC PIZZA<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>by Ali Christie<\/p>\n<p>Eh\u2019m a pizza, a magic pizza,<br \/>\nBein stuck in the freezer\u2019s a scunner \u2013<br \/>\nSo Eh grew twa legs an oor ago<br \/>\nAn fae Tesco Eh did a runner.<\/p>\n<p>Eh\u2019m a pizza, a gaun-ma-dinger pizza,<br \/>\nEh\u2019m skitin doon the street,<br \/>\nAn giein a muckle cheesy grin<br \/>\nTae the dumfoonert fowk Eh meet.<\/p>\n<p>Eh\u2019m a pizza, a please-mehsel pizza,<br \/>\nEh can dae whitiver Eh like \u2013<br \/>\nFleh wi cheese and tomatae wings<br \/>\nOr gae dancin doon a dyke.<\/p>\n<p>Eh\u2019m a pizza, an oan-the-rin pizza,<br \/>\nThe polis are efter me \u2013<br \/>\nBut they needna think that ony o them<br \/>\nAre haein me fur thir tea.<\/p>\n<p>Eh\u2019m a pizza, a thumb-yir-neb pizza,<br \/>\nEh\u2019ll tell them tae git loast.<br \/>\nOh jings \u2013 Eh\u2019m a puggilt pizza noo \u2013<br \/>\nEh\u2019ve stertit tae defroast!<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The Magic Pizza by Ali Christie\" width=\"474\" height=\"267\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/l54PnTRN9bw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>We have discussed in\u00a0 class that we will pronounce the &#8216;Eh&#8217;m&#8217; as &#8216;Ah&#8217;m&#8217; and &#8216;Eh&#8217; as &#8216;Ah&#8217; as this is how we would say these words with an Ayrshire accent!<\/p>\n<p>Pupils should learn their poem and be ready to present it to the class by <strong>Wednesday 21st January<\/strong> . Pupils will be chosen to perform their poem in front of judges and the winners from each stage will then perform at our Scots Verse Celebration on <strong>Wednesday 28th January<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>As part of our Scotland topic this term all classes are learning a Scots poem.
