The pupils have worked hard this week and enjoyed choosing a new seating arrangement for the class.<\/p>\n

We have been learning to calculate change by using the ‘counting on’ method. Some learners like to do this with a blank number line, a 100 square or simply in their head. It can be quite tricky so pupils may want to practise this a little more. As a rough guide the pyramids were calculating change from \u00a32 and with the challenge of \u00a35; the cubes have been working with change from 50p or \u00a31.<\/p>\n

To help with our maths topic the pupils were tasked with creating a coffee shop in the playground area for the P1\/2 to enjoy. They thoroughly enjoyed this task and really got creative with menus, specials boards and some first class serving skills!<\/p>\n

In literacy we were looking at rhyming patterns in poetry and generating rhyme to describe the months of the year.<\/p>\n

We finished the week with making some calendars inspired by\u00a0 our poems using zentangle patterns.<\/p>\n
