Week Ending 4/10/24

Congratulations to Wallace who received a trophy from his football team and brought it in to show the class. We love hearing of the children’s wider achievements so please continue to share these with us.

This week we had our final outdoor learning session. See the pictures below in our SWAY.

We continued to practise different strategies for mental addition. This week focusing on finding ‘friendly numbers’ (multiples of 10) to help us add more than two numbers at a time.

In reading we are using the reading pups to help us better understand texts. So far we have met Predicting Pip, Vocabulary Victor and Rex Retriever. As your child what each pup does.

Reminder: Parents evening is on Wednesday this week.

Another busy week in P3/4 brings us to the end of September. Pupils have continued to enjoy outdoor learning with the Dean Park rangers. They had lots of fun designing and building their own rockets. We have been working hard in numeracy learning about doubling. In writing we were focusing on writing a diary. Ask us about our class novel ‘Cakes in Space’.
