The children in Primary 4 continued their work with the 7 and 3 times tables and had a carousel of activities they would rotate throughout the lesson. The first activity was on Sumdog and the children used the laptops to complete the multiplication games and focused on whatever times table they had been practising. The second activity was a worksheet station and the children had times table wheels to help them with the number processes and to build on their prior learning. The final station the children took out the resources in the classroom and used sets of and groups of to create multiplication calculations. Great Numeracy work this week Primary 4!

P4 Newsletter Term 2 2022
Thanks Everyone,
Mr McNally
The children started their new class novel this week and that was James and the Giant Peach. The children enjoyed reading the first couple of chapters and completed work on predictions and visualisation after they had read the chapters. The children created their own giant peach to put on the wall, including some adjectives to describe how James would be feeling.
Thanks for all your hard work this week Primary 4!
Mr McNally
The Primary 4 watched The Nativity in class on Tuesday afternoon and enjoyed singing along to all the festive songs in the film. Each child had their own plate of treats and snacks for the movie and there was definitely a sugar rush the closer we got to 3 O’clock. The children have worked so hard over this term and deserved an afternoon to relax and have fun with their peers because they all deserve it. Thank you all for your continued support over this year so far and I hope you all have a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year when it comes.

Primary 4 created colour wash, wax resist backgrounds in the style of Van Gogh before using watercolours to paint their hilarious snowmen losing their hats in the wind. I just love the facial expressions. Well done everyone!
