{"id":698,"date":"2026-04-27T10:01:27","date_gmt":"2026-04-27T09:01:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/ea\/primary220252026\/?p=698"},"modified":"2026-04-27T16:41:08","modified_gmt":"2026-04-27T15:41:08","slug":"big-talk-homework-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/ea\/primary220252026\/2026\/04\/27\/big-talk-homework-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Big Talk Homework"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Twice a year, the children take part in our whole school \u2018Big Talk Homework Challenge\u2019.\u00a0 This is where your child gets the opportunity to prepare and present a talk to the class.\u00a0 The topic will change depending on the focus for that term.\u00a0 This term the class has chosen to talk about \u2018<strong>My Favourite Toy.\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Some ideas to include in their talk might be:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>What is your favourite toy?<\/li>\n<li>Who gave you it or where did you get it?<\/li>\n<li>How do you play with it?<\/li>\n<li>What do you like about it?<\/li>\n<li>How does it make you feel when you play with it?<\/li>\n<li>Any interesting facts about your favourite toy.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Please practise saying the talk out loud at home. Posters or slides to help the pupils with their talks are encouraged but pupils should not read from these &#8211; they should only act as prompts to aid the pupils\u2019 talk.<\/p>\n<p>The talk should be ready to be presented the\u00a0<strong>week beginning Monday 11th May<\/strong>.
