Literacy<\/h3>\n

This week P2 have been learning about ‘magic e’ and how it changes the sound ‘i’ makes in words like hide, ride and bike.<\/p>\n

They have also been learning about nouns with Miss Campbell and finding examples of common and proper nouns in books.<\/p>\n

For writing P2 have been using ‘The Three Little Pigs<\/em>‘ as inspiration to start writing their own stories.<\/p>\n

Numeracy<\/h3>\n

In Numeracy P2 have been learning about division and using the division symbol in calculations. They used counters to help them by sharing them out into equal groups. They also used Pok\u00e9mon cards to\u00a0 consolidate their learning on addition.<\/p>\n

They have\u00a0 been doing more work on directions and Miss Campbell has been introducing simple co-ordinates\u00a0 and compass directions to them.<\/p>\n
