P2 are really excited to welcome Miss Campbell to our class for the next six weeks.<\/p>\n

Literacy<\/h3>\n

This week we continued to focus on the ‘igh’ phoneme and our new common words were try, fly and why.<\/p>\n

In writing we finished our stories.\u00a0 P2 are really excited to read them to P1 over the next few weeks.<\/p>\n

Numeracy<\/h3>\n

We have been sharing out objects in preparation to learn about division.<\/p>\n

Today we also learned about tessellation and made some Valentines hearts by tessellating triangles.<\/p>\n

Learning Across the Curriculum<\/h3>\n

In French,\u00a0 Camembear has been helping us to learn the days of the week.\u00a0 We learned how to say Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday this week.<\/p>\n

We have also been learning about family trees as a way to organise information.\u00a0 We have started to make Katie Morag’s family tree with all the characters we have learned about in the books.<\/p>\n
