Literacy<\/u><\/p>\n

This week P2 were\u00a0 consolidsating their learning on all their \u2018magic e\u2019 sounds.\u00a0 They practised their common words and found missing capital letters and full stops in sentences<\/p>\n

In persuasive writing they tried to persuade Mrs Mair to take them to the park!<\/p>\n

Just a reminder that it is Big Talk next week. Please send your child ready with their talk to present on the following days:<\/p>\n

Monday \u2013 Madelijn, Gracie, Emily, Leah<\/p>\n

Tuesday \u2013 Dalton, Lillie-Rose, Freddy, Harris<\/p>\n

Wednesday \u2013 Rex, Savannah, Leo, Ashton<\/p>\n

Thursday \u2013 Daniel, Ella, Jaxon, Meah<\/p>\n

Friday \u2013 Dawson, Elleana, Ethan, Blair<\/p>\n

We can\u2019t wait to hear about all their favourite toy!<\/p>\n

Numeracy<\/u><\/p>\n

In numeracy they continued to learn about halves and practised counting in halves.\u00a0 They also practised some missing number calculations to help them\u00a0 with \u2018Expressions and Equations\u2019 that they have been working on with Miss Kay.<\/p>\n

Learning across the Curriculum:<\/u><\/p>\n

It was another beautiful afternoon on Thursday and because P2 had done so well with their persuasive writing they managed to convince Mrs Mair to take them to the park.<\/p>\n

They also watched a special Newsround all about VE day.<\/p>\n
