Happy New Year, I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas and enjoyed a bit of a break. Unfortunately Covid caught up with me but it’s back to routine now.
Our sounds this week are ‘j’ and ‘v’, and our common words are ‘have’, ‘just’ and ‘to’.
Reading books are back this week. It was evident that the children had been working hard on their reading at home- BIG thanks and BIG well done!
In the homework folder this week there is a copy of the Scottish poem that our class will be learning.
The children should continue with their mini project.
This weeks sounds have been added to the red book. Our sounds this week are ‘g’ and ‘l‘. Our common words this week are ‘go‘, ‘get‘, and ‘got‘.
Some children will have a reading book in their folder. This book can stay at home and doesn’t need to be brought to school daily. The reading book should be returned with the homework folder on Friday.
P1D are going to be working hard to show off their work in their Snapshot jotters!
Our sounds this week are ‘c‘, ‘k’ and ‘ck’. Our common words are ‘can‘, ‘we‘ and ‘into‘.
This week I have allocated some homework to try out EducationCity. The logins for this can be found in on the inside of your child’s homework folder. There is also a class game on Sumdog if you are really up for the challenge.
Apologies, in the midst of reminding the children about the new pick up place for home time I have forgotten to issue their homework folders. These will come home tomorrow.
