As you all know we have been exploring letter formation through using Karate Writing in class. I’ve been astounded by the recent success the class have had in forming the very difficult letter ‘kicking k’. Get your child to show you what they can do at home.
Oh, keep an eye, or an ear, out for us in the playground. This is where we often enjoy practising our Karate writing. Who knew learning could be such fun!
Through our farm topic P1A have been learning all about dairy and arable farming. We now know all about dairy products and the journey of milk as well as the ‘king of the crop’ wheat. The class have had lots of fun making butter and bread to further enhance their understanding.
Our visit to the Museum of Rural Life in East Kilbride was also a huge success. The children were able to apply their learning in a real-life context and thoroughly enjoyed the food workshop they took part in.
