{"id":1004,"date":"2024-11-11T10:10:15","date_gmt":"2024-11-11T10:10:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/ea\/primary120242025\/?p=1004"},"modified":"2024-11-11T10:10:15","modified_gmt":"2024-11-11T10:10:15","slug":"literacy-homework-wk-1-big-talk","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/ea\/primary120242025\/2024\/11\/11\/literacy-homework-wk-1-big-talk\/","title":{"rendered":"Literacy Homework Wk 1:  Big Talk"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><b>Big Talk Homework<\/b><\/p>\n<p>Twice a year, the children take part in our whole school &#8216;Big Talk Homework Challenge&#8217;.\u00a0 This is where your child gets the opportunity to prepare and present a talk to the class.\u00a0 The topic will change depending on the focus for that term.\u00a0 This term our Health topic is Myself and My Family.\u00a0 At home, your child should prepare and practice their talk.\u00a0 They can bring in photos or posters to help them.<\/p>\n<p>Some ideas to include in their talk might be:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A photo or drawing of themselves. Talk about them &#8211; What they like? Dislike? etc.<\/li>\n<li>Photos or drawings of their family.\u00a0 Who lives in their house?
