Last week we started learning about Subtraction so this is a fun way to talk about numbers getting smaller/less. It is called Roll Over . It should be completed and returned to school by Monday 6th February.

What a busy week we have had this week! School shows, reward party, Christmas lunch and plenty of learning and playing! Lots of happy, and a little tired, faces this week! 😊🎅🏻🥳
The children in P1 will be performing their “Christmas Cracker” at the break of the school show ‘Panto Pandemonium’ on Wednesday and Thursday night this week.
Pupils should come to school on both evenings at 6.10pm wearing a Christmas jumper, hairband or hat if they have one. If they do not have something Christmassy to wear pupils should just come dressed in casual clothes.

Our Numeracy Homework is a game called ‘The Secret Christmas Tree’. We played it in class today and had great fun! We hope you enjoy it too. Please complete and return all Scrapbooks before the end of term.
Our new Numeracy Homework is called ‘The Number Five’. It is due in on Monday 5th December.
Just a reminder that next week is our first Big Talk Week so the children will be given a time to perform their talk to the class. Remember they can bring in toys, drawings or photos to help them with their talks. These should only be brought in on the day of their talk. Details as follows:
Monday 21st: Cole, Hunter, Harper, Logan
Tuesday 22nd: Lyle, Ellie, Shaun, Ayla
Wednesday 23rd: Ava, Harry, Demi, Harley

Due to the success of the last dice game homework, we thought you’d like another easy game to enjoy called ‘Beetle’. In this game you roll the dice to try to be the first to draw a beetle. We had great fun playing the game in class today!
This homework is due on Monday 21st November.
Twice a year, the children take part in our whole school ‘Big Talk Homework Challenge’. This is where your child gets the opportunity to prepare and present a talk to the class. The topic will change depending on the focus for that term. This term we are learning all about Toys so the talk is called ‘My Favourite Toy’. At home, your child should prepare and practise their talk all about their favourite toy.
Some ideas to include in their talk might be:
The talk should be ready to be presented the week bg 21st November. More details will be given shortly about which day that week your child will be giving their talk. They can bring any pictures or toy in from home on that day.

Today the class were given the next Numeracy Homework task. It is called Dice Bingo. We played a game in class so everyone knows the rules and it was great fun! Task to be completed and returned by Monday 7th November.
