Literacy

In Primary 3 we have been learning about alphabetical order.  Please practise using the game below.

Floppy’s Phonics books will not be issued this year therefore it is important to read for enjoyment at home with your child each week where possible.  Predicting, discussing characters, their choices, the setting, the plot, etc

There is a spelling list of words each week to practise with an activity sheet which has guidance below. Please complete activities in the Literacy homework jotter issued with the date marked.

Please complete the worksheet provided in your Maths Homework jotter and  return to school on Thursday.   Where possible, children should try to complete the answers/ calculations in their Maths Homework jotter marked with the date.

 

We have been learning numbers to 1000. https://www.topmarks.co.uk/english-games/alphabetical-ordering Order Numbers .Try forwards: 0-999 and for a challenge, try backwards: 999- 0.

Literacy

In Primary 3 we have been learning how to make sentences. Look at the picture below and write a sentence about what you see.  Remember to use a capital letter at the beginning and a full stop at the end.  It must make sense.  Challenge: write 2 sentences and use describing words- adjectives. (subject- tells you who or what, predicate- tells what they did or are).
