Reading<\/strong> – this week the class will read different books in class to those they are assigned for homework. This means that the books I assign for home this week will be less familiar to the children than they may have been on other weeks.<\/p>\n

Phonics<\/strong> – our sound for this week is ow (as in now). As the class have previously learned this phoneme as a different sound (snow) this may cause a little confusion for some of the children. I have attached the words the children could work on along with some challenge words and the grid for them to use.<\/p>\n

Numeracy\u00a0<\/strong>– our class is continuing to work on data handling this week. We had great fun last week completing a transport survey. Additionally the class are working on increasing their recall of numeracy facts in addition and subtraction which will aid their progression in this area.<\/p>\n

This game would support the class with this process. There are three levels and everyone in our class will be able to have a go at them. https:\/\/www.topmarks.co.uk\/addition\/robot-addition<\/p>\n
