Merry Christmas

The boys and girls have worked extremely hard this term and I am so proud of each and every one of you. You have missed out on so many various activities this year but you have all remained positive and certainly kept my spirits up! You should all be very proud of yourselves too.

I have allocated some new reading books and Maths games for you to complete at your leisure if you wish but there is no pressure whatsoever to do so. 🙂

Have a very well earned restful and fun Christmas and I will see you all in 2021! Stay safe boys and girls and I hope Santa is good to you all!

Outdoor Learning Day Update

All being well on Monday, the new boards should all be fitted by lunchtime and therefore we will not be outside for the full day. We will not keep the children outside for any great length of time if the weather is like it is today. We will still take the children outside for a shorter period of time because we have the tents available and the children are excited about spending some time in the tent, as well as it being a valuable learning experience.

Please still make sure your child has appropriate outdoor clothing for the short spells we are going to be outside.

Thank you.

Miss McConnell

Weekly update

Here are some examples of dictated sentences we have been practising in class. Why not have a go at making up similar sentences for your child to practise writing.

  1. We ran into my den.
  2. He can kick the can.
  3. I am in my den.
  4. I sat at my desk.
  5. We got a flag for you.

This week we have been focusing on building sentences. The children have been using picture and word cards to make their very own sentence (Who? What? Where?) and have really enjoyed this station.

The children have also been talking about Sumdog this week. This is another great Maths resource that the children enjoy and is helping them with their counting skills and number bonds.
