P7 Residential Trip

Here is our site page for our P7 residential trip. We’re off to Dalguise between Monday 11th June – Friday 15th June 2018.

Keep checking this page for regular updates and photographs from our trip away! Please feel free to  comment below on some of our activities.

TUESDAY

Today we went on the zip wire, went abseiling and played ambush along with lots of other activities. A firm favourite though was the raft building, which did result in some wet children!

WEDNESDAY

Our morning has consisted of quad biking, canoeing and orienteering. Lots of great and memorable experiences for P7 and we’re sure the teachers will also remember being tipped over into the water!

During the afternoon we had Jacob’s ladder and the vertical climb. Both of these involved us climbing to high heights and conquering our fears.

At night we all sat round the camp fire singing songs with the leaders before a tired group of children headed to bed…

THURSDAY

Our early morning wake up calls are not getting any easier for some of our pupils with one pupil saying this morning, ‘I am not a morning person’ as they walked out the lodge!

Our view this morning:

After a big breakfast to fuel our tired bodies we set off for fencing and the giant swing!

We also have a birthday to celebrate today and at Dalguise that means you get to jump the queue at meal times and recieve a card from all of the staff. Happy Birthday to Jake!

Later on in the day some more groups rotated around the giant swing, the challenge course and tree climb. Our night concluded with a disco and football along with all of the other schools that are also here on their residential trip.

FRIDAY – OUR LAST DAY!

We’ve had our last early morning wake up call and our last big feed. Fuelled and raring to go, we have another set of activities to complete before we start our journey home.

First though we had to empty our rooms, pack our clothes and prepare to go home. For some of our children, this week’s biggest challenge has been stripping the beds and packing up all of their clothes!

Our last morning saw pupils completing the tree climb challenge, the trapeze and Jacob’s ladder.

Lastly, we had our final meal and then set off on our journey home.

We’ve all had a great week here at Dalguise. From conquering our fears and making memories for life with all of our friends, we’ve all had an enjoyable time.

A week we’ll never forget.

More pics from our wonderful trip.

Once all the pictures are collated from teachers’ iPads, these will be made available for parents to view.
