Can we please make all parents/carers aware that the centre will be CLOSED on Wednesday 17th August for an East Ayrshire Inservice day for staff training.

On Thursday 18th we will be welcoming back all of our existing children moving to their pre-school group.

All new ante-pre children including existing Rainbow Room children who are now ante-pre’s and new pre-school starting with us at Onthank Ecc, will be invited to attend for a 1 hour visit without parents/carers on week beginning Monday 22nd August.

The Statutory Consultation on Early Learning and Childcare in East Ayrshire Council is now open

Education authorities have a statutory duty under the Children and Young People (Scotland) Act 2014 to consult with a representative group of parents and carers with children under school age in their area about how they should make early learning and childcare available.

We have created two surveys for parents, carers and prospective parents and carers residing in East Ayrshire in order to hear their views on early learning and childcare in our authority. The surveys will be open for 3 weeks from the 31^st May.

The views of parents and carers are important to us and will be used to inform the future delivery of early learning and childcare in East Ayrshire Council so please take 5 minutes to complete this survey if you are a parent or carer of a child or children currently accessing funded early learning and childcare: https://www.smartsurvey.co.uk/s/1C7NKT/

Onthank Primary School have arranged a ‘New P1 Race’ for 1pm today.

If you wish for your child to attend, a parent/carer will need to take your child as we are unable to facilitate taking the children as we are giving children lunches between 11.30am and up to 1pm.

Please be aware if you do decide to take your child to the race that this may impact their lunch time routine.

Our practitioner Lauren Little (Turtle Group) is running the Luxembourg Marathon on the 28th May 2022 and is doing so to help raise funds to purchase resources for Onthank Ecc to promote and develop Outdoor Learning experiences for all children.
