Good Luck Paula

Today we all say farewell and wish lots of luck to our Practitioner Paula who for the last few years has been the keyworker of the Pink Group and Ladybirds.

Paula is moving to Darvel ECC to take on a practitioner role closer to home.

We will miss Paula’s infectious energy, love for singing and the positive relationships she has built with staff, children and families during her time at Onthank Ecc.

We wish her the very best at her new Early Childhood Centre. 🥳

We will miss you Paula!

Jennifer’s Retirement

We wanted to make all Parents and Carer’s aware that Jennifer our Depute Manager has decided to retire August 13th 2021.

After 22 years of service to Onthank Early Childhood Centre there are no words to truly express how much the staff team, children and families will miss her and we can not thank her enough for all her support, guidance, knowledge and skills she has brought us as a Senior and now Depute.

Friday 25th June will be the last day many of the children will see Jennifer as they stop for the summer holidays but we wanted to take the opportunity to say we thankfully have her a little longer as she will continue to run the nursery over the summer period.

I am sure you will all join us in wishing Jennifer the very best in her well deserved retirement. 🥳

Scottish Government Letter

Please find attached a copy of the Scottish Government Letter issued to all establishments and parents/carers regarding end of term celebrations.

We apologise for any inconvenience and sadness this may cause, we fully understand how disappointing this news can be, however we have to follow guidance that is issued to us and want to ensure the safety of all our children, families and staff.

Sun Care

Can we please ask all parents/carers ensure your child has sun cream on before they attend the centre during this lovely weather.

Can we also kindly ask that you send your child into the centre with sun cream in their bag so that it can be reapplied throughout the day.

All parents/carers should have already signed a permission form to allow staff to apply sun cream to the children throughout the day.

If you have not had an opportunity to do so as of yet, please speak to a member of staff and we will give you a consent form to complete.

Thank You.

Parent/Carer Information

Please be aware that Monday 31st May 2021 is an additional bank holiday this year and therefore all children who attend the centre 9am-3pm will not attend on Monday.

This bank holiday does NOT affect those children who attend a morning or afternoon session, therefore their session will take place as normal.
