{"id":4444,"date":"2025-09-25T09:37:10","date_gmt":"2025-09-25T09:37:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/ea\/ochiltreepssite2017\/?p=4444"},"modified":"2025-09-25T09:40:47","modified_gmt":"2025-09-25T09:40:47","slug":"free-strings-tuition","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/ea\/ochiltreepssite2017\/2025\/09\/25\/free-strings-tuition\/","title":{"rendered":"FREE Strings Tuition &#8211; P5-P7"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\"><span data-olk-copy-source=\"MessageBody\">The Royal Conservatoire of Scotland Junior Conservatoire, The King\u2019s Foundation at Dumfries House and East Ayrshire Council are offering children who are currently in P5, P6 or P7 (as of August 2025) and who receive string tuition within the classroom in the Cumnock, Doon and Auchinleck areas the opportunity to further their instrumental progression <strong>FOR FREE<\/strong> supported through funding from The King\u2019s Foundation.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Through the RCS Music Centre programme, students will receive:<\/p>\n<ul type=\"disc\">\n<li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\">FREE instrumental string lessons delivered in small groups<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\">Practical musicianship classes<\/li>\n<li class=\"x_MsoListParagraph\">The opportunity of playing in a string orchestra<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">Classes are held on Wednesday evenings during term time led by a team of music specialists from the RCS. The programme is designed to give young learners a high quality, cohesive music education, delivered in a fun and inspiring environment.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">They invite all prospective new students to attend the<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_MsoNormal\">open evening event on <b>Wednesday 1st October<\/b>\u00a0where they will hear more details about the programme and be measured for an instrument.
