{"id":3977,"date":"2025-01-28T12:42:13","date_gmt":"2025-01-28T12:42:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/ea\/ochiltreepssite2017\/?p=3977"},"modified":"2025-01-28T13:01:30","modified_gmt":"2025-01-28T13:01:30","slug":"dinnae-forget-your-caddy","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/ea\/ochiltreepssite2017\/2025\/01\/28\/dinnae-forget-your-caddy\/","title":{"rendered":"Dinnae Forget Your Caddy!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Dinnae forget your Caddy! <\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Help us fight Climate Change and be in with the chance of winning a \u00a350 East Ayrshire gift card. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>A whopping 69% of food waste in East Ayrshire is not being recycled.<\/p>\n<p>To encourage more people to recycle their food waste, the Sustainability &amp; Climate Change Team has launched a new recycling at home campaign &#8211; Dinnae forget your Caddy!<\/p>\n<p>The campaign was successfully rolled out last year in schools and Early Childhood Centres across East Ayrshire but now the team need your help to raise Community Caddy Counts.<\/p>\n<p>Support the campaign by naming your caddy (Caddy McCaddyface is absolutely acceptable) and\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/links-1.govdelivery.com\/CL0\/https:%2F%2Fforms.office.com%2Fpages%2Fresponsepage.aspx%3Fid=oyzTzM4Wj0KVQTctawUZKS-ptJmz-7JMkq3gtpKzOutUQlYyWjFRMzk1NDFaUTBESUtMU0ZYUTlNVS4u%26route=shorturl\/1\/01000192c3e21fda-c9d4c8e2-0ab1-438f-8166-52db5083209d-000000\/xA4V6JA7UcoAaLmzR-oFZ8o3pP5ZHyh6E7IdIHC8Wc4=376\"><strong>register the name<\/strong>\u00a0<strong>online<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Write the name in permanent marker on your caddy, then all you have to do is present your caddy each week to be entered into the &#8216;Favourite Caddy of the Month&#8217; draw.<\/p>\n<p>The monthly draw will run from November through to May, and the recycling crews will select one &#8216;named&#8217; caddy at random to win a \u00a350 East Ayrshire gift card.<\/p>\n<p>You could also encourage your neighbours, family and friends to take part in the campaign and make it a bit competitive.
