P5\/6 and P6\/7 were delighted to welcome Davie Reid and Brian McGhie into the class to talk about their experiences of being miners in Ochiltree. \u00a0Davie and Brian brought lots of memorabilia which they were kind enough to let us try on and explore. \u00a0They shared stories of what life was like working in the Killoch and Barony pits and what life was like in Ochiltree during the Miner\u2019s Strike. \u00a0Pupils loved listening to this fantastic piece of their history and enjoyed asking lots of questions! \u00a0A huge thanks to Davie and Brian for taking the time to share their stories with pupils.<\/p>\n
