Homework for Monday 4th December

This week, Primary 2s have been given the lines that they need to learn for our nativity. Some Primary 1s also have a line or two to learn. Could you please practise these lines with your child at home. The children that did not get a line are learning a wee dance to perform.

Primary 1s have also been given a game to practise their sounding out and blending. I have included a die and two counters to allow you to play the game. Your child should read the words they land on. If they read it correctly, they can stay on that spot, if they read it incorrectly, they should move back three spaces.

Week 7 Update

It’s been another busy week in P1/2. Here is what we have been learning this week:

We have been practising throwing and catching in our PE lessons. The children enjoyed working with beanbags and doing different aiming and throwing challenges.

In Literacy we have been learning new sounds and practising our spelling words. P1s have started to read and write CVC words…everyone did a super job!

We have been learning lots of different maths, literacy and social skills during our activities this week. Here are some pictures of what we were busy doing:

On Friday our buddies played board games with us!

Welcome to Primary 1/2

Hello and welcome to our class blog!

The blog is still empty but I am hoping to be able to fill it soon with pictures and descriptions of our learning journey. You will also be able to find our term planners and homework information here in due course.

For now, I hope that you and your child will enjoy our first week in school and everyone settles in well.

I am looking forward to seeing you at the school gates.
