{"id":685,"date":"2021-04-20T10:01:06","date_gmt":"2021-04-20T10:01:06","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/ea\/numeracyandmathematics\/?p=685"},"modified":"2025-07-03T12:57:00","modified_gmt":"2025-07-03T12:57:00","slug":"national-numeracy-day-2021","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/ea\/numeracyandmathematics\/2021\/04\/20\/national-numeracy-day-2021\/","title":{"rendered":"National Numeracy Day"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-255\" src=\"https:\/\/blogs.glowscotland.org.uk\/ea\/public\/numeracyandmathematics\/uploads\/sites\/16806\/2020\/07\/06093327\/national-numeracy-logo.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"640\" height=\"108\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_x_MsoNormal\"><b>National Numeracy Day &#8211; Are you a numbers champion?<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"x_x_MsoNormal\">National Numeracy Day takes place annually in May.<b>\u00a0<\/b>Education Scotland and the Scottish Government will again participate as lead supporters of the campaign in the hope of encouraging all adults and children in Scotland to brush up on their numbers skills.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_x_MsoNormal\">This year will celebrate numbers by hosting a virtual festival, packed full of practical advice from celebrities and experts, inspirational stories from real-life learners and a host of free online events and resources.\u00a0 The festival will focus on three key themes; supporting children\u2019s numeracy, managing your money and numeracy for work.<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_x_MsoNormal\">Get involved!<\/p>\n<p class=\"x_x_MsoNormal\">Since 2018, Scotland has had record numbers of community organisations, adult learning providers, schools and businesses signing up to be numeracy champions.
